Precision’s spout design with a flat bottom and canted side gives 25% more anvil contact with the log. This provides absolute control of the log, preventing slapping and wood turning. Both horizontal and vertical anvils give additional life with less maintenance. Both are hard surfaced with colmonoy which has a hardness of 62 to 65 on the Rockwell C scale.

SLICING INSTEAD OF CHOPPING
The canted side spout design and the position of the knife causes a smooth slicing action. The attack angle of the knife gives a gentle lift to the slab as the knife passes the center line and begins the upward swing turning the slab counterclockwise. The spout has a flat bottom and canted side to give 25 % more anvil contact, preventing slapping and wood turning in the wrong direction. Horizontal and vertical anvils give additional life, requiring less maintenance. Both anvils are hard surfaced with Colmonoy with a hardness of 62 – 65, Rockwell C scale. With a four sided replaceable anvil, maintenance and time are saved. Less horsepower is needed with Precision’s smoother action.

Precision’s Disc Scalping Screen is designed to function as both a high-volume material classifier and conveyor. It accomplishes this by using multiple rotating shaft assemblies.
As material is fed onto these special rotating shaft assemblies, it is conveyed, agitated and classified. The oversized material is conveyed over the end of the scalper screen and the acceptable material is dropped between the factory spaced rotating discs. These shaft assemblies consist of the shaft and multiple discs. Consecutive shaft assemblies have discs which interface with each other, at a pre-set opening.

Precision Rotary Knife Grinder’s anti-friction bearings with continuous circular grinding eliminates the reversal vibration shock commonly experienced in reciprocating grinders. Any size knife can be ground from 3/16″ [5mm] to 1 1/4″ [32mm] thick and knife width’s from 2″ [50mm] to 6″ [150mm]. Accommodates knives from 5″ [127mm] to 28″ [710mm] long.
The low height of this compact grinder makes loading and unloading knives easier. Precision Rotary Knife Grinder is complete, ready to use with diamond wheel dresser, bevel gauge for setting fixtures, coolant pump and tank, and all motors and starters.
All controls are housed in a NEMA #12 water tight control box. The operational controls are mounted on the side of the control panel for additional safety. An electrical lock out utilizing a key prohibits any motor function during loading or maintenance.
Precision “Fixed-Rotary” Chip Screens incorporates proven engineering features to assure long-life performance with consistent high quality production. The smooth glide of the fixed rotary counter weight from the balanced center axis of the drive unit, provides year after year of high performance with a minimum of maintenance.
The low profile receiving pan is additional assurance that your Precision “Fixed-Rotary” Chip Screens will meet the most demanding requirements of any chip specifications.
Chip screens are suspended from frame, with 1 1⁄4″ [32mm] stress proof hanger rods with rod end bearings.
Hanger rods are available with universal joints as an option.
Main frame for the heavy-duty unit is made from 6″ [152mm] channel at 16.3 lbs. [7.4kg] per foot. The Vibrating Conveyor’s energy is transferred through the heavy-duty fiberglass bars to the heavy-duty channel. This secure footing reduces maintenance and insures long life. Shown in heavy-duty. Medium duty series are available for lighter applications.
All components are heavy-duty as the spherical roller bearings used in the drive section. Motor under the conveyor gives added protection. Unit shown is complete with spout transition, motor and drive.
Sawdust removal screen only permits blocks, slabs and edgings to enter chipper, increasing chipper blade effectiveness and reducing dust. A 5 foot [1.5m] fiberglass section is also available for use with metal detectors. Unit shown is right hand discharge. Left, bottom or right discharge must be specified by user.
